Club Profile

Kirkbymoorside & District Camera Club meet in the market town of Kirkbymoorside on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park.

The club meets at 7.30pm on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month, in the Royal British Legion Club, Shaw Drive, Kirkbymoorside.

The club season starts in September and runs throughout the year.

Members join for a variety of reasons and the club strives to meet the needs and interests of all. With this in mind we also have a number of 'Project Groups'. These groups meet on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month. The various groups organise other 'ad hoc' events designed to meet their particular interests and objectives. The groups include Beginners & Advance Digital Imaging, Developers (Intermediate), Monochrome, Creative and Digital Audio Visual.

Our members are involved in all types of photography: Print, Slide, and Digital - both in colour and monochrome.

You don't need sophisticated or specialised equipment to be a member of Kirkbymoorside Camera Club, one of the joys of the club is that it is not 'equipment orientated'.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly club where anyone with an interest in photography s made welcome, be they beginner or expert. The strength of our club is that we respect each other as individuals and value each others' work accordingly.

We have a varied programme of members evenings, talks and competitions, where all can and do join in.

If you would like to know more about Kirkbymoorside & District Camera Club please email us at info@kirkbymoorside-camera-club.co.uk or come along to one of our meetings.

The club is a member of the Yorkshire Photographic Union (YPU) and is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).
