I got my first SLR many years ago whilst still at university. Over a number of years I  accumulated some nice kit but I was just a happy snapper with a good camera. Eventually the interest waned – I had a film in the camera for 5 years! – So, I gave it all away.

When I retired I got a digital compact and rediscovered the joy of taking pictures. I went along to a club exhibition at Sutton Bank and saw what real photography was about. I attended a couple of club meetings, saw some wonderful images and met some really friendly and helpful people. The rest is history.
